At District Tonkin, you can experience a taste of Vietnam. They honour traditional recipes with a personal twist, using a secret ingredient: a well-balanced marinade and fresh ingredients. The meat is marinated for 24 hours, massaged carefully, and grilled to perfection, resulting in an intense flavour and a caramelised crust. Each dish is generously topped with fresh herbs and chili.


District Tonkin was founded by restaurateur Zeqir Haziri, who also owns the renowned Buka Bakery. The inspiration for District Tonkin comes from his travels around the world, tasting street food. One of these journeys led him to District Tonkin in northern Vietnam, which the food stall is named after. District Tonkin was created with one goal in mind: to offer a dining experience that reflects different generations of culinary traditions.
